Why Should I Practice Yoga?
Yoga is for Everyone! Whether you're young, or old, athletic or couch-potato, healthy or not, yoga has many health benefits. Read more about some of the studies and benefits.
Can I Eat Before Practice?Ideally, your stomach should be empty while performing yoga, but you should not be starved and low on blood sugar. Eating at least 2 hours before your yoga class helps in this situation. Have a light meal or a rich smoothie 2-3 hours before practicing yoga.
What Should I Wear?
Wear comfortable attire that will stretch with you and allow for a full range of body movements (yoga pants or shorts and a fitted t-shirt or yoga top). Avoid wearing clothing that is too baggy. Typically yoga is practiced with bare feet.
How Long is Practice?
Most sessions run about 1 hour; custom sessions may range between 45 mins to 90 minutes.
What if I'm Not Flexible?
Whether you can touch your toes or not shouldn't dictate whether you practice yoga. Over time, one of the result of Yoga is the development of flexibility and strength, thus it is not a prerequisite.
What If I Have An Injury or Limitations?
Yoga is accessible to all. Please let your teacher know before class – always keep your teacher updated to any injuries or illnesses you may be experiencing. Always get your physician’s approval before engaging in physical activity such as yoga..
